Gard Ueland, Space Y Chairman, figured among the distinguished panellists of a roundtable about “Greener Transport for Europe” at a Prague House event entitled EU Space programme for sustainability and growth.
Organised in the sidelines of the Czech Presidency of the European Union, the event aimed to discuss the role of the European union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) in supporting the union priorities through the EU Space Programme.
Mr Ueland stressed that the European industry developing the user equipment and value-added services enabled by space, the so-called “space downstream industry”, is great for Europe since it is creating value: ground-breaking technologies for the benefits of all of us on Earth, an astonishing number of attractive jobs and fantastic prospects for EU economic growth and prosperity.
