ASTRAIOS Final Event “Towards a Skilled Europe for Space Innovation”

Space Y is pleased to support the Final Event of the ASTRAIOS project, titled “Towards a Skilled Europe for Space Innovation,” taking place on the 1st of December 2025 at the Okko Hotel Paris Gare de l’Est in Paris, as well as online.

This hybrid event will bring together project partners, industry stakeholders, policymakers, and education experts to reflect on ASTRAIOS’s achievements and to explore how Europe can continue developing a strong and innovative space workforce.

About the ASTRAIOS Project

The ASTRAIOS project (Analysis of Skills, Training, Research, And Innovation Opportunities in Space) aimed to strengthen Europe’s space talent pipeline by analysing educational programmes, mapping future workforce needs, and proposing concrete recommendations to better align skills with industry expectations.

Throughout its implementation, the project has:

• Mapped space-related degree programmes and training opportunities across Europe

• Assessed current and future skills needs in the space sector

• Identified gaps between education and industry requirements

• Developed targeted recommendations and educational modules to support a more coherent European space skills ecosystem

ASTRAIOS was funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe, as a Coordination and Support Action (CSA), with a duration of 3 years, from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025. The project is coordinated by the European Science Foundation (ESF).

Looking Ahead

The final event will celebrate the consortium’s work while fostering dialogue on how Europe can continue building a skilled, competitive, and future-ready space sector.
